How we start
No long forms or sales process. A clear path with a decision point at every step.
Send a short description of what you need. We discuss your goals, constraints and existing systems, and I tell you honestly whether I am the right fit.
You receive a written scope, a fixed price per milestone and clear acceptance criteria. Anything unclear is settled before work begins.
You see working software at every milestone and decide whether to continue. Ownership, documentation and handover are agreed in writing.

Architecture & modernization
A full rewrite is not a starting assumption. The first task is finding a practical path from the system you have to the capabilities you need.
Map the current system, its data, and the workflows that must keep running. Make hidden dependencies visible before choosing what to change.

Meet your principal architect
Move your project forward with clear guidance, thoughtful engineering, and confidence in the next step.
I’m Itzhak Shaul, founder of Methodspire and a Principal Software Architect with more than 30 years of hands-on experience. I help businesses turn complex requirements into practical software—from SaaS platforms and AI automation to the enterprise systems they depend on.
Your project starts with understanding your business, agreeing on priorities, and defining a clear first milestone. You get straightforward communication, working software to review along the way, and one accountable technical lead from architecture through implementation. Code review and testing are part of the process, so you can make informed decisions as the work moves forward.
Before we talk
You don’t need a finished specification to start a conversation.
Ask Itzhak directlyYes. Existing codebases, Windows Services, desktop applications, and SQL Server systems are a central part of my background. We begin by understanding the workflows and dependencies, then agree a focused change and how to verify it.
Yes. A specific integration, technical investigation, bug fix, or architecture review can be the starting point. We define the deliverable, estimate, and acceptance criteria before work starts.
The scope and technical constraints determine the estimate. After the initial conversation, we identify what can be estimated and whether a separate discovery step is needed. You review the proposed scope, cost, and schedule before committing.
I am based in Israel and work remotely with U.S. and international clients. We agree meeting times, communication channels, and review points around your team’s needs. Written decisions and working demonstrations keep the project easy to follow.
AI can assist with implementation, analysis, and automation. It does not replace responsibility for technical decisions. We agree the use of client information and access, and changes are reviewed and tested against the requirements.
Most projects start with an agreed scope, delivered in milestones with a fixed price per milestone, so you can review working software before continuing. Ongoing support or open-ended work can be arranged separately. We agree the terms in writing before work begins.
The engagement agreement defines source-code ownership, documentation, deployment responsibilities, and any follow-on support. These expectations are made explicit before development begins.
Let’s talk about your software
Tell me about your system, your business goal, or the technical problem in the way. We’ll identify a sensible next step.

Scope, cost, and availability are agreed before an engagement begins.
